Creating a Shortcut from Google Chrome

Creating a shortcut on your desktop from a webpage can be a little changeling for some people.  Here are few simple steps to create a shortcut on a Windows 7 or Windows 10 computer.

I found that Goole Chrome is the easiest search engine to create shortcuts from

• Navigate to your desired webpage in Google Chrome
• On left of the side of web address click on symbol next to the web address (depending on the site this may show Secure, Not Secure or a small info simple) and drag to your desktop

• Rename the shortcut by right clicking on the new short selecting Rename and start typing
